Rick Stratford

Rick is a partner of Rock Creek Capital. Beginning in 1999, Rick was a partner in a leading Salt Lake City-based private equity fund. He sourced, invested in and sold numerous companies in addition to serving on numerous boards of directors, including Vivint, Inc.

Previously, he worked at Hewlett Packard and Arthur Andersen. Rick has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.

Rick and his wife Jodie are the parents of five children and reside in North Salt Lake, Utah.

Jordan Clements

Jordan is a partner of Rock Creek Capital. Jordan began his investment career in 1995 when he became the managing partner of a start-up private equity firm in Salt Lake City. He led that firm through multiple funds until 2010.  Jordan has served on numerous boards of directors including Energy Solutions, 3form, Diamond Rental, Packsize, and Instashred.

Earlier in his career, Jordan was a partner in a San Francisco Bay area law firm where he practiced corporate and business law, advising high growth, privately held businesses.  He has a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.

He and his wife Julie are the parents of five daughters and reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Gerald Risk

Gerald Risk is an entrepreneur, investor and educator.  He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of Asurion, the world’s leading provider of technology protection and assistance services serving 280 million customers globally.  Previously he served as Asurion’s CFO and then President over his two-decade career at the company.  Gerald is an active supporter of entrepreneurs as an investor, board member and mentor.  He is also a Lecturer in Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Stan Baratz

Stan Baratz is the founder and President of Baratz Financial, Inc., a Minneapolis-based company specializing in the private placement of debt and equity for growing Midwestern companies.  Prior to founding Baratz Financial, he served as a Partner and Executive Vice President of one of Minnesota's largest full-service real estate firms, Welsh Companies.  During Mr. Baratz' tenure at Welsh, the company grew to become the largest property management firm in the state with over 16MM square feet of industrial, office, retail, and multi-family properties under management.
